MPG increase with mileage?
That sticker was also configured with 3:31 axle, lightest XLT with no options, no a/c except for 5 min, etc. The EPA test is a joke, not in anyway does it represent real world driving. The highway simulation covers 10.3 miles at an average speed of 48.3 mph, with about half the time spent at 55-60 mph

It was a few thousand miles on my truck before I saw a noticeable difference in my 5.0 gas mileage, now I usually get about 19- 19.5 mpg on my truck in town and highway with VERY easy on the gas. The only way I can get 21 mpg is to drive 60 on level roads.
Well I'm new to the forum and Eco Boost. Picked up my 11 SCrew Lariat EB August 26th. This week I've driven about 800 miles in the last 3 days runnung 65 or 70 depending on which road as well as about 90% HWy and 10% City. I've averaged 19.4 MPG for the 3 days. I did drive it for 5 minutes prior to resetting the MPG to determine the avg for this trip. So far I like the EB avg although the 214 CI engine is smaller than the first F100 I had in the 70's. It was a 240 inline 6.
drivetrain and new tires all breaking in along with the computer going threw several drive cycles learning how you drive takes a while. I was disappointed with my MPG when I first bought my Truck as well (16-17MPG) best I could get out of it. By the first oil change it took a 2 mpg jump . Here in CA the truck always takes dive in MPG due to winter blend fuel. My daily drive starts on a dirt road then Interstate speeds of 80 mpg. I don't abuse it but I don't baby it either...
My 2010 is averaging 17.2 lifetime average over 48,000 miles.
Edit: 5.4 ,4x4, super crew , 3:55 rear. I've never used it to tow anything. That's probably why it's over 17 mpg.
