It's ok to "love" your truck. You spend a lot of time and $ on it, so caring for it is important.

However; if you sneak up on the tailpipe late at night.....

I saw a documentary where they gave a homeless guy 100k - it was a social experiment.

He was broke in less than a year and back under his bridge, they even provided free financial advice to no avail. Homeless people are homeless because they can't keep their **** together, that's their problem.

I am NOT my brothers keeper - that mentality makes people weak, if you tell them it isn't their fault they can't support themselves, they'll believe you.

Where were all these losers when I was working a full time job, taking 21 credits a semester and pulling straight A's? That's right, they weren't doing ****, which is why they don't have anything.

If you want to blame our current national financial problems on someone, blame the half of the population that isn't contributing.

I LOVE my truck, I tolerate people.

Hmmmm, I think that if the truck is the Ecoboost model, then it is really OK....you know, the love thing.

However, if it is equipped with that immoral, non-eco friendly, and enemy of the Earth 6.2; then there would clearly be a question with respect to moral judgment.

A somewhat disturbing trend I see more often than not is members claiming to "love" their trucks. I enjoy my truck but I am aware that it is only a material object. I am thankful to have a dependable vehicle but also realize that my choice of transportation greatly taxes natural resources.

My question is do you all think this is healthy? Could this love of material objects be a contributing factor in the current condition of todays economy? How is it that most of us could drive past a homeless person or stray dog but still claim to love our trucks? Is this morally wrong?

I look forward to this discussion and will follow this thread closely. Have and great weekend and be safe.

One Love

When I say I love my truck.

I mean,

I'm glad I have it, I'm proud because I worked so hard for it, and if you touch it, I will hurt you.
