Default Mod for better reverse lights...

I have a 2010 Lariat screw with the 6.5 bed. I like allot of us I guess like to back into parking spots for an easy exit. I am having one heck of a time at night seeing anything with the stock reverse lights. I know there are upgrades and add ons for this so I was hoping to figure out the best way to go. Be it new bulbs or add on lights or both if need be. I need to see what i am backing into . Thanks, John...

Default Backup Lights

I grabbed a pair of halogen driving lights for about $30 at pepboys. They work great and were cheap.

I bought a whiteknight trailer hitch light setup:

works great for long distance directly behind you. I do plan on adding another set of reverse aux lights to face more diagonally outside of the vehicle as the whiteknight kit goes straight back. Was well work the money, and you keep your receiver.

I have a pair of hids for an atv that I fitted into fog lights. They are ran to a switch so they can be turned on only when I want. Not to get off topic but what kind of hitch do you have old smokey. Thanks

This just taps into the reverse power line? Does it require the relocation plate like the site says?

Yes, and yes. 7 pin adapter makes it all plug n play. No wiring
