mirror reflectors changed to turn signals

I will be performing this mod on my 09 F150 however, I would like to know if there is anyway to have them alternate like some cars, ie when looking from the front of the vehicle the signal light in the grill and the mirror dont flash at the same time, they alternate, which i think may look better.
Also, it is possible to get these strips of lights in double strip instead of the single strip?

The strips of LEDs come with 18 lights. During the install, for max lighting, you cut the line in half (at 9 LEDs) to fit the reflector area. Splice the 2nd half of the LEDs to the first half and you're good to go. It's a perfect fit and IMO looks more stock-ish.

Here are examples of a normally closed and normally open relays.
Relays are either Normally Open or Normally Closed. Notice the position of the switches in the two relays shown below. Normally open relays have a switch that remains open until energized (ON) while normally closed relays are closed until energized. Relays are always shown in the de-energized position (no current flowing through the control circuit - OFF). Normally open relays are the most common in vehicles; however either can be use in automotive applications.

Thanks for the insight as to what is involved for the alternating method, I think I will leave this for a later date.
The two strip method one each side looks great and i will go with this for now. However, I do not have autozone in my area and will have to order from them online. I was looking on their website and am not sure which ones to order.
Sharper4: would you happen to have the exact part# for the ones I would need to install double strip on both sides. Are these the white or the amber ones? Thanks

I need help as I cannot get my Led signal to work with parking lights off.
I have made the black box as detailed by 'iamsuperbleeder' and I am currently testing the setup in a 2001 honda as there is easy access to the wires in the trunk. I didnt want to disrupt things in my truck not knowing if the setup works properly.
I have connected just the right side signal and the parking light feed as per the design. Did not connect the left signal feed, I dont think this matters as the design looks like each side works independently.
Here is what I am getting:
Leds work fine as parking lights, and they also work fine as alternating signals when the parking lights are on, however with the parking lights off, the leds do not work as signal.
I get the same results if I connect the leds directly (without the black box), But if I connect the Led+ to the signal and Led- to parking then the signal works when parking lights are off but not when the parking lights are on nor do they work as parking lights.
Interesting thing however is that if I connect a 12V test light directly to the parking wire and signal wire it works just fine regardless of the polarity, signal works without parking lights, signal works alternating when parking lights are on and parking lights work too.
Now unless the wiring in the Honda is different than the Ford this does not make any sense to me. Furthermore, if the test light works as mentioned above then there should not be the need for a black box.
I am using the Alpena Leds which I have cut in half.
Little Puzzled,

the above problem is resolved. I went ahead and connected the box to my truck and it works well. As iamsuperbleeder mentioned it is important to get the source from the OEM parking/signal wires at the front because of the way the bulbs are wired.
Thanks to iamsuperbleeder another truck that is making use of the reflectors.

Anybody in the Chattanooga area that could do this Mod for me? Adding the LED strips into the turn signal is a no brainer but I want the LED's to run with my parking lamps as well.
