Default Mirror

I was working in Brooklyn today, Made a 25 min stop came out n had my mirror busted. No note or a sorry!

The mirror cracked off the little motor that makes it move around...does anyone know if this is a easy fix if I buy a new motor with the mounting for the mirror or does it need to go in to the shop?
Thanx.

Sorry to say this, but it looks like they stole your mirror. Or, do you still have it?

You can replace the mirror glass yourself very easily. They just pop into the housing and clips On the motor hold it in.

Bad news time..... Since yours was electrochromatic, they run about 300.00.

I have the mirror I took it off so i could drive with out the wires ripping off.

It looks like the clip that hold the mirror to the motor broke, it seems cracked.
And seriously $300 I was thinking $50 damn.
Thanx for your help

You may wanna look into this company. Most glass companies use these as replacements. Depending on the Yr of your truck and what options they may have a back plate and glass already set for you. Here is the link. Mods, if I broke any rules, please delete.

For less than three hundred dollars you can get a complete pair of mirrors off ebay. I did. See my garage.

I found a pair of replacements on eBay. They are $170 (for both) and come with forward / rear facing turn signal LEDs and convex mirrors on both sides. If your mirror has the skull cap painted to match then you can just swap the painted part on each mirror so you don't loose that feature.

The clips broke on my '09 when I was careless doing the mirror mod. Dealer did replace under warranty but they initially wanted $261 for parts plus labor.
