its all good. they may not have lied as much as just being misinformed. it is amazing how inept and uneducated dealerships and salesmen are these days. I usually do enough research to educate them each time I have been in to look at trucks. if you find a good salesmen worth his weight, then you are lucky.

 

Don't you get max towing with the FX4? Mine is a 2010 FX4 with LUXURY pkg and weither you get regular or tow mirrors, they are memory and you get the same towing as the max towing i believe.

If I remember correctly, all FX4s come standard with the 3.73 electronic locking rear end so that is why they are rated at the maximum tow capacity but that doesn't mean they come with all of the other stuff that the Max Tow Package includes. I could be wrong as I have not owned an FX4 but I did try to configure one on Ford's website when I was ordering my Lariat but could not get the cooled seats in the FX4 so I stuck with the Lariat.

 

UP FOR A TRADE? I have a 2010 F150 with the max tow pkg mirrors. They are power, heated, amber turn signal indicator, puddle lights and manual telescoping. They are black with the chrome cap on top. I'd be glad to trade with someone who has the regular size mirrors with power, heated, puddle lights and have the turn signal indicator. I would want either the chrome cap or the matching painted dark blue pearl cap. If this is up your alley let me know ok. Maybe you cover shipping and we'll call it an even swap with the price difference. Let me know what you think if interested ok.
