For those of you that have the max trailer tow package, whats your opinion on the mirrors and is the ride any harsher than the standard tow package. I see that this package has upgraded rear leaf springs and big huge tow mirrors.

 

Someone posted trucks with 20" wheels also have an additional leaf. The ride is fine, smooth and quiet with the upgraded rear springs.

As for those huge tow mirrors, those are monster sized but if you tow a lot, they'll probably be great to have. But the 'regular' size mirrors is just fine for me.

 

I have the max tow package minus the huge mirrors, so I can't really comment on them. I have only had the truck for a week now and one of the biggest things I noticed was a considerably firmer almost bone jarring, ride compared to the 2006 that I drove. I aslo have the 20" wheels wich probably makes a difference as well. I am comforted by the fact that the truck will feel great with my snowmobile up on the deck and I shouldn't have any sagging issues

 

I thought the trailer tow mirrors were standard with the max tow package. Was it a dealer swap?

 

What does the MAX trailer tow package include?

 

He's in Canada...up here the Max Tow Package does not include the towing mirrors.

In Canada, the max package includes: brake controller, class IV hitch receiver, 7-pin wiring harness, upgraded rad, aux trans cooler, upgraded rear bumper, upgraded rear springs, heavy-duty front eye bushing, 20:1 steering gear ratio.

The standard Trailer Tow Package has everything in the Max Tow Package except: brake controller, upgraded rear bumper, upgraded rear springs, heavy-duty front eye bushing, 20:1 steering gear ratio

 

I wish that the brake controller was included down here. I love the mirrors but I think the brake controller should be part of the max tow package.

 

I drove both max pack and not. No diff in ride quaility. I traded a 03 with the 7700pk and that was ruffffffffffff. Mine doesn't have the tow mirrors and I am glad the truck with them seemed to be an extra mile wider. Mine has the max pack. Come with 3.73s. Great gas mileage compared to the 03
