Default In the market!

Well after trying to decide if it was time for a new truck or if I should wait, someone pulled out in front of me and totaled my 04 crew cab. It was quite a painful ordeal and I don't mean literally, everyone walked away. Dealing with insurance was the biggest pain but now it had been decided. I want an 09 or newer crew cab lariat, I'm being very picky with this purchase. I'm looking for either a black or white 4x4 with all the options and black leather. Anything to look for in these trucks? Any suggestions on what to stay away from? I can't leave anything stock, so it will be getting leveled, tint and small things like that with in the first week more than likely. Look forward to being a part of this group after enjoying the other groups I have been a part of! Pic of the truck that I have to replace...

To be honest, I don't think you can go wrong with any F150. I would shoot for a 2011+ if it were me. I don't buy used, but maybe your dealer has one on the lot that they can certify and warranty! I know that buying new isn't in its best time out in cali, the dealers are offering up to 3500 in rebates when I got 7500 in rebates in july of 2012

Thanks tko, what changes were made for the 11 to be more desirable? Sorry if that a dumb question. I appreciate your insight!

Mainly the engines. 09 and 10 had the old engines. 11 introduced the 5.0 and ecoboost

2011 and up have the new motors, The 5.0L and the eco boost. i traded my 09 with the 4.6 in for my 2011 5.0L. it was a big difference.

Well the 4.6 isn't an option for me. I've had both 4.6s and 5.4s and will definitely have a 5.4 or the one of the newer engines. I rode in a friend of mines new 5.0 and was expecting a lot more. Not that it was bad but was really wanting the oh wow! 5.0 would be great,5.4 most likely and the eco boost would be my first choice I think but would prefer to give it a little more time to work any bugs out. My only complaint about my last 5.4 was the $12 dollar plugs and the issue with them breaking off in the head. I have always been happy with my 5.4s other than that. Thanks again for everyone's input!
