I went to a spring shop today to inquire about getting custom made leaf springs to replace the wearing out leafs I have right now.

It is my understanding that the 2011 F150 157" WB to leaf is longer than over configurations.

I'm trying to find the stock part number for that spring as well as the heavy half ton spring's part number.

The spring shop doesn't have any data newer than 2006 and I'd like to know if the heavy half tone's top leaf can be retrofitted into my 157" WB truck, or failing that the specs of the heavy half top leaf spring so I can get the spring shop to fab up a pair.

I'm on Ford's part number site baffled by these part numbers because i cannot tell what goes to what.

spring code will be on your door tag...mines vvgg...front and rear..but doesnt show any difference on fords site, just comes up as a whole pack 5560 same as a 2011..just the a-j last digit change but not showing weight/payload abilty..

My spring code on a 2011 157" WB with the max tow package is VVAA, but I do not have the heavy half package.

And sadly, the Ford part numbers are baffling.

V implies an Econoline front spring/torsion bar. Odd...

I tried looking into this a while back and it got very confusing..

The extra leafs in the HD package 8200 gvw trucks are about the only real world advantage I see. Max tow and tow trucks all ride and squat with the same loads I have seen..

I'm trying to learn a VIN for a 157" WB HD package so i can cross reference the leaf spring stack, find out if it fits and order it if it does.

I'm ordering one of these and it must travel places!

Hey Eric I have an 157" hd payload on order. I don't have it yet but have the vin... What section or place of the vin do you need to see the springs?
