Hey everyone, been a while since I've posted. I have never cleaned the sensors on my vehicles but I got to thinking I should probably do it. How often for the ones that do, do you clean your MAP or MAF sensors depending on engine?

 

On the ecoBoost engine, you want to check them as often as you can if you don't have a catch can. I checked and cleaned mine during every oil change. Once I added a catch can, I never had oil on them again.

 

Is the only sensor to clean on the '11-'14 5.0, the MAF right next to the airbox?

What's the best way to clean it?

 

Assume the "it" that you're referring to is the MAF sensor .....
