Default Magnaflow muffler

hey guys! My truck has the 5.0 and the previous owner deleted the factory resonator. I'm looking at magnaflow 12289 muffler. It's a 5x8 oval that has an overall length of 30". Would this muffler drone at highway speeds?

Where's it mounted.. and it may because the resonator is gone which handles the drone.

Exhaust resonator purpose

Exhaust resonators are used to create smoother driving conditions, reduce noise from the engine exhaust and enhance engine performance. Exhaust resonators are add-on features within the exhaust system. The resonators are used primarily in combination with the muffler to reduce excessive exhaust noise, Known as Drone.

If you have drone, you can add Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonators. I had them on my Titan and now my F150. Kills drone completely.

It will knock the loudness down a little but not much. Mostly just makes it more toned rather than noise.

I have no reso and a Magnaflow. Drones like HELL between 1,600 and 1,900 RPM, especially while lugging uphill in a neighborhood or low speed highway or when towing a trailer. It'll drive you insane.

But, the sound it makes at 3,500 RPM under WOT is like heaven.

I guess a guy can't have his cake and eat it too.

FYI, I have that muffler on my 5.0 with OEM resonator and to me sounds good, no drone, quiet at cruise, louder under increased throttle/acceleration.
