^^^ I'd suggest instead that the wait is nearly over...

Google those Bilstein P/Ns and only the 5100 rear comes up. Perhaps the design and tooling is done with new shocks waiting in their production queue rather than distributor stock...

Just as DirtDwag pointed out it indeed is nearly over....
Spoke with Bilstein today and they said they are in production and should be available by the end of the month.. Also spoke with Stage 3 Motorsports they got back to me with the middle of December they are not even taking orders for them yet was told about 3 weeks and they should have something listed we will see....

Update of sorts...

Decided to order a pair of 5100 rear shocks today. Noticed that P/N 33-256764 for 2014 F150 (same fitment for all models except Raptor) is different than for 2013 F150. Curious why that is so for rear shocks. In any case, lowest price found online was Tire Rack @ $79.00 each for $158.00 shipped. Website and order confirmation email shows "available at supplier", which implies drop-shipment from master warehouse. Not a bad price, so I don't mind waiting a few more days...

EDIT: just got a courtesy email from Tire Rack, stating "estimate of 2-3 weeks from Bilstein" and asking whether I could wait (yes I can). Seems to confirm this new P/N for 2014 F150 rear shocks (posted above) is another product that will be coming off the production line soon...

so I've got a question. are the 2014 5100s the same part number as the 2015/16? the struts are the same design but one truck is considerably lighter than the other. I would certainly hope Bilstein accounted for this, but can anyone confirm?

^^^
Your answer seems revealed with yet another set of fitment P/Ns as applies to post 2014 F150 within Bilstein's online catalog.
Shown is 4WD config for parity to OP's screenshot as is my own.

Following. I'm thinking about ordering the rears now like DirtDawg, that's a solid price from TireRack.
