Default lowering shackles

i purchased some 2" lowering shackles for my '11 fx2....the mounting holes are 7-1/4 " apart, stock shackles are only 4-1/2" apart, won't this lower more than the 2"?

I put the shackles on my 2010 drove around for a while. I pretty much always pull a trailer. Under load I was getting a vibration or a shutter only threw first gear. So I just put the shims on the other day that came with them and it cleared up 98 percent of the problem.

Soo with that said

I would def put shims on also. Some guys havnt done it but then again I doubt they tow much. It didn't change the ride and 2 inches is what it gives even though they are alot longer of a shackle.

Just a quick pic from iPhone. But you can tell it doesn't look like a lawn dart any more

And this is the shackle. Only two bolts. And the shim was easy too. I didn't even have to take the bolts off to squeeze the shim in place. Just loosen them enough for a gap and slid in.

BY ALL MEANS put the shims in!!!!

And no nothing was done to the front.

Over all I would doo it again. Looks nice and very level.
