Default Loose timing chain?

I have had my 2013 STX SC for a week now and love it. I do have a rattling noise coming from the engine while driving between 1000 and 2000 rpms. It happens while accelerating slowly and goes away if I increase speed. The noise does not happen at start up or while revving in park. I will make an appointment with the dealership. The truck has 50,000 miles on it and is still under powertrain warranty. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem before talking to the service department. Thanks!

I have something similar, seems from the drivers side in front but is somewhat inconsistent.

Default tranny noise?

I had time this morning to listen to the truck. I left it parked in the driveway and started it with no noise. I slowly increased the rpms all the way up to over 4,000 and still no noise. Idles smooth. On the highway it will make the noise between 1000 and 2000. It almost sounds a pinging noise.

Probably is pinging or knocking from bad gas/ carbon build up, try running a bottle of Techron through it, and clean the throttle body and MAF. My truck has 50k miles and the throttle body was very dirty and MAF gets dirty too which can cause pinging under load in 6th gear try a higher octane fuel to see if it fixes it too. That'll rule out other things also

Thanks for the info. I will try that first. It is a flex fuel engine and I don't know if the previous owner ran E85 in it. That could be the problem.

Disconnect the battery as well. Leave it disconnected for at least 15-20 minutes.

I was looking for a radio code and can't find one. Do the newer trucks have codes to unlock the radio when I disconnect the battery?
