Looking for recommendations
Hi All,
Just got a new to me 2013 XLT 3.5L turbo...looking for a few recommendations. Does anyone have a tonneau cover they particularly like? Any suggestions on covers? Also, looking to replace the rear shocks. Any suggestions for a good high end shock for these trucks?
Thanks!

I love my bakflip revolver x2. It fits all of my needs, doesn't cover back window when opened, can still have full bed use if needed, hard and "lockable", and can easily be removed.
I have had hard clamshells and hard tri fold and liked them but they had limitations that the x2 fixes.

If you want a hard/folding cover, take a look at the BAK products. The G2 is popular. I used to have a BAK Flip VP but ended up selling it in favor of the rollup I mentioned above.
Plan on spending ~$500 for a good cover. If you're on a budget, take a look at the Truxedo Truxport.

I went with the BAK Roll-X which is the predecessor to the Revolver X line that BAK sells. Still doing it's job today as well as it did the day I put it on almost 6 years ago. I think the Revolver X4 is the current line. Very low profile hard roll up.

Lifetime warranty
Check out Diamond Back tonneau covers. No leaks. Stand on it. HD model can haul a couple quads on top. Made from diamond plate aluminum.

My roll up tonneau leaks. I thought the whole point was keeping cargo secure and dry. I will never have another rollup cover. Chime in if you have a tonneau cover that is not a rollup type and it keeps water out of the bed. Thanks.

bak mx4. i have yet to see any cover that looks as good as it does once installed. it keeps about 95% of the water out as well. i would buy it again in a heartbeat if i needed another.
for the shocks i run bilstein 5100s and love them, however i also added the hellwig rear sway bar and it was a night and day difference. the 5100s are a little stiffer than stock but handle so much better. the hellwig eliminated the rear end from bouncing all over place over every single bump in the road. awesome combination together!

I absolutely love my Bakflip MX4. It does block the rear window when it's open all the way, but that doesn't bother me. I buy/sell and collect vintage and antique bicycles, and have a rack I built to keep them upright in the truck bed. I need full bed access in order for them to fit, and the MX4 works perfectly for that. If I ever replace my truck I would buy another one of these.
It's hard to say if it's keeping water out or not, I went from the plastic drop in liner to a bedrug shortly after installing the MX4. Can't really tell because the bedrug doesn't hold water and I haven't really checked after a hard rain. There are rubber seals everywhere though, so it should stay pretty dry inside. It also comes with drainage tubes that drain any water that gets into the rails. There are some good videos on their website showing the install process and how it works.
