Line-X with Tailgate Step??
I have a 2012 F150 S-Crew that is equipped with the Tailgate Step... Personally, I didn't really want to pay for it, but see it's value.
On to the question - for those of you with the tailgate step and Line-X, how did the Line-X guys do the tailgate? It seems the plastic tailgate liner covers some of the step's hardware.
Pics would be awesome. I'd hate to pay for Line-X and not have it sprayed on the tailgate.
Thanks.

I asked question when I did mine and the guy at the linex place said unless I did what others have done and remove the pole/hardware and replace it with the factory plate, that he could not spray it. So I said do everything except the tailgate. Thats what I have, it doesn't look bad. In the future if I don't like it and want to remove the hardware and replace the plate he said I could take it back in and he would charge me 50 bucks to do the tailgate.
They took my tailgate off when they sprayed mine and discounted the price like $40 or $50. All three of my F150's have come with the step and pole. I personally didn't care if it had it either way, but back on topic, it doesn't look bad not being sprayed.

Line-X removed the plastic liner off the tailgate and sprayed the whole thing. I asked them to do this but they told me they would have done it anyway instead of just masking off the edge around the liner. The added material did not cause any fitment issues with the tailgate to the bed although the gap is quite small now.
