According to my local Linex dealer, the custom color runs an additional $250 on top of the $499 (black) for the 5.5 bed.

I initially wanted to get the line-x matched to the razor red of my truck. It was actually the line-x dealer that talked me out of it. He said if I was going to "use" the bed of my truck he wouldn't advise the color match as it would quickly become scuffed up. Anything that will transfer - grease, tire scuff, etc. - would leave a mark on the bed. His comments, coupled with the black plastic liner incorporated into the "man step" tailgate and the black rail caps convinced me to save my $$$ and go with black. I am very satisfied with it.

i know a guy who have red line-x and they have no issues with scuffing or marks in the bed...he just washed it with a tire brush and a bucket of soap. i know another fella who has yellow z71 lined, liner looks fine to me, another guy who has his box linx'd pewter in his gmc, looks fine to me.

That's almost word for word what the LineX guy up here in Michigan said to me about the color matching. I was going to go with black anyway but I just asked about it. He showed me pictures of a King Ranch that he did where he matched the two-tone color scheme in the bed! Very cool.

My LineX guy in Bolton (Can) said he wouldn't be able to repair it if I damaged it. I was going to do the bed in razor red and match my flat bed trailer. Went with black instead. Funny thing was, he did the rockers in razor red without any problems. He said coloured beds were mainly for show trucks, not work trucks........

My best friend sprays Line-x and he has a color match in his 99 GMC. He use's it to, no scuffs mares. Looks good, I just don't like the black in a blue truck. He spayed a black Xtra one for our local ford dealer, and I didnt like it. He tried to talk them into color match on that blue flame so I could see it. But they did not want to spend the money. I dont really use the truck to haul stuff, but I've slid a box across the floor and it leaves places in the paint. So I want to do something. Just wondering if anyone has some pics of Blue Flame in there bed?
