I put in Pro Audio in churches and bars for a few years and it seems pretty good for a factory system. Hits pretty hard if you want it to.

In the past I've upgraded my vehicles with subs, amp, components speakers. On my 09 fx4 I ordered the sony stereo with sub half heartedly but am very impressed, the sound is very good for a factory system.

In comparison to what?

Likely the best sound system I have had in a truck but poor compared to my LX570

So, is it a four speaker system plus a sub? My current truck (2002 Chevrolet) has the four factory speakers plus two 10" subs - but the amp isn't real big. I am not the guy driving around breaking windows and setting off car alarms...I just want good, clean bass to compliment the music that I am listening to.

I am going to test drive a truck tonight with that system in it. I am looking forward to it!

I love the Sony radio in my truck. Make sure you check for fade. For the money, it's an awesome option. But I'm not an audiophile and to my ears, it spits out clear sounds, high highs with the low lows. FM/MP3/CD sounds great, satellite radio music sounds less.

Test it out and post your comments.

Its a 10 speaker system including the sub. I think it sounds pretty good. It has limited settings though, I wish it had a mid setting in the EQ or maybe a 5 level equalizer. I dont feel I need to tear it out and start from scratch like I have in most of my other vehicles.

10 Speakers??? Holy crap!

I don't really want to mess with the factory system if I don't have to. That was a few years ago when I had time to mess with thiings...I want to buy a truck with a good system and enjoy it!

I will post my findings later. I might be buying this truck this week.

I do not think you would be dissapointed. My only complaint is that it give setting for controlling base and treble, if we could maybe get settings for midrange or 5 level like the other poster suggested, it would be perfect.

I have only owned my F150 Crew Cab for a few days but like it and the Sony radio very much

And I like the Sony too! Notice my avatar? I should be an expert in such things but I rarely try to thump the doors off. Unless I'm really playing through my big rig!
