Default Light bar on back of truck

Has anyone came up with a good way to mount a single row LED light bar on the back of their truck? I'd like to do a single row about 10" and tie it into the reverse lights. I thought about between the tailgate and the bumper but I'm afraid it might be too tight and damage the tailgate or the light. Any ideas?

I've got a 6" mounted on my hitch, just drilled and tapped some 1/4x20 threads and wired it to trailer backup wire. See here
