Default Lifting a 2013 FX2

OK so I am looking into getting a lift on my truck, but i want to make sure that it is going to be exactly the way I want it. The pic I am posting is with a mcgaughys 6.5" lift, but as you can see, it is an fx4. Will my truck not be that high since I have an FX2. Also if it will be lower, what do I have to do to make it exactly that height? also do you think it has a spacer in the front. THanks for any advice!

This will show you the height with the 6.5 on an FX2!

Yeah usually 2wd trucks are a little lower than 4wd trucks. It will look good though man.

Fx2 and fx4 have a height difference of 1.7" by factory specs. The mcgaughys kit uses a spacer to only drop down your struts to compensate for the new long necked knuckle and gives that .5" extra of lift. The angle of my upper control arms are less than when I had a 1.5" leveling kit. It's a great kit and mcgaughys machine and weld their own products so their crossmembers and all parts are made in their wear house, no third party involved in the process.

yeah lower because its not intended for serious off roading. Lifting a 2wd is eauivalent to a base civic with a loud muffler...why?

But do what you want - your truck. My suggestion is to change your sticker so people wont roll their eyes.

Yup, toss a 4x4 sticker on it while you're at it

This answer is always unhelpful. Half of the people who lift their 4wd trucks will never off-road their "pretty little souped up 4wd". There is an appearance these people are striving for, which includes big tires - big tires require clearance...hence a lift is needed. You can have that appearance with a 2wd. From what I've read in this forum, with today's traction control technology, 4wd owners aren't even finding the need to engage the front axel...

Technically neither is the FX4! These trucks would fall apart if you did serious offroad!

Also I know of MANY 2wds that are lifted and modified that will smoke 4wds, just look at and Baja, desert, or stadium truck racing!

Since your a big Eco fan, the same can be said about you. You don't tow a lot so why buy the tow motor? (according to ford and fanbois)

Any idea what size tires the OP is trying to clear? 35s or 37s?
