LF Speaker cutting on and off

Default LF Speaker cutting on and off

2010 F150 Supercrew. Left front speaker cutting on and off. Any suggestions before I start taking things apart??????

My buddies 2011 was doing this also. First the dealership replaced the speaker but it did not help. The second time he brought it in they told him there was a recall on the clip that attaches to the speaker. They replaced the clip and the speaker now works as normal.

Though not specifically noted, the TSB in the link that was provided should (?) also apply to 2013 as well.

I have an aftermarket set of speakers installed in my '13. Im assuming the broken clip fix wont resolve my issue. Anyone had this tsb done with aftermarket stuff installed

Well, isn't the wiring / connection mentioned in the TSB just further down the wiring (from the speaker) so it's still in series. So if I'm imagining this correctly then it certainly could be the problem.
