It depends on width of your tires and offset of your rims, but if you can "downgrade" to a 2" or 2.5" level, that would be the most cost-efficient route (which also sounds like you have a shop do the R&R then alignment). Some level-kit manufacturers claim 35" tire clearance with their spacers, but I'm not sure if they are 2, 2.5, or 3" net lifts.

Even with a 2" net lift and 33" tires, I still occasionally had the UCA-to-spring contact on rebounds from speed bumps and what-not.

But the plan is to reduce the occurrence of that by reducing the front lift, which I'm assuming you are doing only because you don't want to have prospective buyers sour on your truck when they experience that "knock."

You could try these spindle spacers:
http://www.accuratesuspensioncomponents.com

I put them on my truck, it made all the dash rattling bumps go away. Seriously feels like stock again. Only 100$

Just some tips if you decide to go this route:
You will need an alignment aftwards. You may also want to purchase the spc cam nuts for adjusting camber. Around 80$. Adjust your tierods out after install so the toe in doesn't chew up your tires on the way to the alignment shop.
