Default Leveling kit question.

I just recently purchased a 2013 FX4. I am interested in a leveling kit so I can accommodate some larger tires. For now I plan on keeping the factory 20" rims. I was thinking about going with a 2" leveling kit for the front instead of a 2.5 for less stress on the front end components. Any suggestions of which leveling kit would be best and what would be the best size tire for a 2" level?

Thanks

f150lifts.com ... boss coilovers

tire size... what do you want? 33's, 35's? you can do it, but then you'll lose power ... so then you'll want a tuner ... $$$$

You can accommodate larger tires with as little as $100-$200. Or a little more for adjustable Bilstein 5100 shocks. Certainly don't have to spend $1000+ on a full coilover kit.

true, unless you want to be sure you won't waste the money on spacers just to later go to coilovers

I've always used Autospring because they're cheap, ship quickly and work just fine, but I've never heard of a "bad" leveling kit for these trucks. they all do the same thing and I've never heard of anyone breaking one of having issues caused because of it.

as far as tires go, I personally think 275/65s look great on stock 20s and could easily pass for stock to the untrained eye. just slightly taller but nothing huge. and lots of places stock them since they're an OEM size on Super Dutys.

I don't have to have 35's or anythung huge just sonrthing that would look good. I'd be OK with some 33's or 34's. Im not really sure that I could tell much of a difference with 33's than my stock tire.

Did it rub or did you have to do any trimming?

Good question OP as I was wanting to know also. One thing I noticed on f150lifts.com----Why are the 2014's separate than the 09-13's??? What's different??? Just curious.

Ford changed some things on the 14's in the front. Not exactly sure what, but thats why they are listed by themselves.
