Default Leveling kit problems

Hi, i have a 2011 ford 150 stx 2wd super cab and i'm looking to do a leveling kit for the front and leaf spring kit for the back. I know there is already a sticky/forum for leveling kits, but I'd like to hear peoples first hand experiences because I heard that some leveling kits can really mess up your truck. Please any and all info. thanks!

don't listen to the bs, dude. level it! name one person who has leveled their truck and had their warrant revoked, their suspension fell apart, etc. imo, this is a diy job unless its your first time. my bro installed my level. when he did mine it was his first time and he is a long time ford mechanic (yes, a dealer). after doing the first side, we completed the second side in 37 minutes. never, did we hurry. all i did was operate the jack. he had impact sockets. again, this was his first time to do this. when he did the first side, it took longer to drag out the impact and locate the sockets than it did to do the job. plus we talked alot of **** in between. if you are scared and you let these uninformed villagers persuade you, then no one is going to help you. take it from someone (there are many) who had a level installed. it won't f*ck up your truck.

Haha. Let you in on a secret. They are all the same, from any company. Either steel, aluminum or polyurethane hockey pucks. Just go with the one you like that has the best warranty. I went whole hog and did the Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks in the front and swapped the rear shocks for the Bilsteins as well for ride quality.

Depends on how high the level kit is. The higher the kit the more extreme the angle of the control arm. Personally I wouldn't go higher than a 2 inch level. But the damage is from the upper control arm being too close the the spring/shock if the new height of the truck is too high.

Anything more than 2 1/2 inch levels can put too much stress on ball joints . What kit are you lookinh to go with? Basically like statdd before they are all the same. A lot of people have steel ones because they wont sag like the poly ones. I have poly ones myself and tgey have been just fine so far
