Default leveling kit advice

My local shop will install the front leveling kit and rear 2" blocks and align for $599.99. Does this sound good?

The brand is ready-lift front and rear, only thing is ready-lift website says 3" blocks in the back and I want 2" and the shop tol dme 2". Is any one brand better then another for a leveling kit? Blocks are cast-iron.

it is for a 2011 4x4

The stock blocks in the rear of a 4x4 are 2"... so if you get the 3" readylift blocks, you add 1" of lift to the back.... if you want 2" over stock, that would be 4" blocks for the back. Do not stack blocks.

Does the $600 include the price of the kits? It is a little bit on the pricey side, but I'm also a tight-wad and did it myself... the blocks took 35mins to do both sides, the fronts took 2.5 hours for the first one, and 1 hour for the second one.... as soon as I had the hang of it.

Then I spent $80 to get an alignment.

no.

The front is 2" lower than the back. if you want the front to be level with the back, you add 2" to the front on 09-11 and do nothing to the back.

People add blocks in addition to the 2" LEVELING KIT when they want to keep some rake for towing/hauling.

I think you could do better than $600. I am in N. CA and my shop charged be $500 for daystar 2" leveling kit, 3" ReadyLift replacement blocks, installation and tax. They also had me come back after 500 miles so they could inspect and retighten if necesary. Even at $500 I thought that was a little high, but hey..they installed and I didnt have to get dirty.

You could do that... and there is nothing wrong with that if you want the truck to be lower. Most guys get the 2" level in the front to fit larger tires and get more ground clearance.

But if you don't want those things, there is nothing wrong with lowering.

Do you think droping the rear would throw off the caster/camber ?
