Default Level & Tire Size Help Please!!!

I'd like to do a partial level of my 2011 4x4 to remove some of the rake and also install slightly larger tires than the stock 32s. I don't want to remove all the rake because I tow quite a bit, and I don't want huge tires and I don't want the wide-tire look.

What I'm thinking of doing is installing Bilstein 5100 shocks. I understand that these have settings to lift the front end 0.75", 1.50", or 2.25" (true level, not what I want), which will leave me with a few options.
  • If I set the 5100s at 1.50", will 33" tires look too small in the wheel wells?
  • If I go with 34" tires, will they fit at the 1.50" setting without any trimming?
  • As a third possible option, will setting the 5100s at 0.75" and putting on 33s leave too much rake left?
In any case I'm planning on using 275-width Toyo Open Country A/T II tires. Still undecided on whether I'll keep the stock wheels or throw some Fuel Throttles on there.

had a 1.5" lift and put on 34" tires (275/65/20) and they rubbed in the front and the back of the front tire.

I eventually had to upgrade to a 2.5" kit

With the OEM 20 wheel offset you should not have a problem with that tire size (34" tire and 275mm width) and even the slightest level in the front. I recently put 295/60R20 AT2 (33.9" diameter) and have yet to rub driving on the street with stock suspension.

Ready Lift says that 2.5" level will first 35's but says there 2" will only fit 33's. From what the shops ive talked to they said 2.5" level and a low offset rim will fit 35's perfect so thats what im going with. As for 33's looking to small I got stocks on now in the winter with a level and that looks fine so really any size tire looks ok with a level, now obviously bigger tire look better. My true below is leveled with stocks if you wanna see what that looks like.

Stock wheels are one thing, but as soon as he goes to an aftermarket wheel with different offset, he will have issues with the 34's

So your saying that if I put on 34s with Fuel Throttle 20x9 ET20, I will have rubbing issues?

depends on offset.

I put on 20" wheels with 15 offset, with 34" tires and they rubbed badly. I had to trim the front and they still rubbed in the back of the front tire.

I eventually installed a 2.5" spacer to be able to clear the rubbing issue.

I don't know your exact setup

I'm running 305/65/18 bfg at KO or factory rims and 2.5"level no rubbing.
