Default Level or not?

I have a 2012 XLT Crew wtih a 6.5' box ecoboost max tow package. I currently have a rake of 1.75" and like the looks of a leveled truck. I still want a little rake so if I do tow my boat or sleds I'm not squatting.

Would a 1.5" level be the way to go? Or should I just forget about it? I don't want to lift the rear any more due to my trailers. I also am running BFG KO2's in 285/60-18's on the truck.

There are so many variables at play. For example I just had Bilstein 5100's added up front with the second to the highest setting. It looks to me like it has a very small amount of reverse rake. Which I hear will settle over time. Best thing probably would be go to a shop and talk with them about what exactly would level the truck.

If you still want to keep some rake, keep it as is. 1.75” isn’t a crazy amount of rake. Once you level, you’re going to notice it’s nose high at times, then you’ll want to lift the rear. I’d stay as is.

5100s in rear and a 2'' block. Cheap and can do it yourself with a buddy over a few beers.

I went 2 in the front, 1/2 in the back. Still has a rake.

similar question here for me, I bought some shackles for the rear that are suppose to drop it 3 " at the last setting. instructions on most say to bend the small sheet metal flange above the shackle too. Do you all think I should go all the way or use one hole position less for 2" leaving a slight rake. I pull a utility trailer, some dirt bikes and riding mowers and that's about it? Not touching the front end at all

I see Motofab has a 1/2" and 1" leveling kit. I wonder if that would be the better way to go?

I "leveled" my 13' FX2 by dropping the Rear, as I didn't want to raise the front on a 2wd. I bought a pair of Ford Racing Shackles, which advertises a 2" drop.
I must say it sits PERFECTELY now, only sits 1/2" higher in the rear now & has been like this since 6/10/16 w/NO adverse effects

My truck was 1.75 high in the rear, went with a AS 1.5" lift. Got a touch over 2" that settled to about less than 2", truck looks level now.

Thanks to this forum and its’ sponsors, I went with Bilstein all around (1.5” in front) and did the Roadmaster Active Suspension.

I love the look and feel now, and have 1.5” of rake for my occasional haul / tow.
