Level kit vs bilstein adjustable shocks
OK so I have been reading on here for a few weeks now and I really didnt find the answer I was looking for. Is it better do level my truck using bilstein adjustable shocks or the level kit? Also, over time will the truck start to sag if I use the bilstein shocks or will the truck keep the lifted stance? I'm not really worried about price I just want the best ride I can get. Some input from both sides would be great. Thanks
Yah. I'm going with the Bilsteins. I like the idea of spending my money on a better shock rather than a block of aluminum or metal. A little bit more money but they do come with a lifetime warranty.
Just my two cents.

On my old truck ('05 F150 SCAB) I had the Rancho Quick-Lift. I chose the shock method based on the illustrations given by Bilstein.
According to Bilstein, the spacers limit the amount of up and down travel. Not sure if they really do or not.
I loved the shock lift that I had on my truck, much improved ride. I'm thinking of doing it with the Bilstein's this time.
Here is what made me choose the shock method.

Got a great deal on them through 4wheelparts.com... I called them and got a great deal.

i researched this alot lately on here, almost everybody i talked to preferred the bilsteins, claims it takes bumps and all that better, ive been told it changes the ride for the better where as most level kits will just raise the front end; fewer people notice a driving difference. feel free to correct me if im wrong, but from what ive heard and been told bilsteins are the way to go.
p.s im kind of tired so sorry if thats confusing.

Good thread! Our new truck is due in another month or so, and this is a subject that I've been thinking about too.
I dug this up....https://www.f150forum.com/f38/bilste...-shocks-35351/
Then took a look at the link posted above. The PDF is pretty informative...although I usually take things like that with a grain of salt considering the company who sells the shocks is writing it. Even with that, the points in the PDF make a lot of sense. I also looked around the net for pricing....nothing specifically for 2011 F150s (at least that I could find) but it looks like pricing is in the $150 each range.
