I've made 2 round trips, 400 miles each, since I stuck my OEM mirrors back on. Now all this was on the lie-o-metre, but it appears I picked up about .5mpg. Not scientific at all, but that's what I'm seeing.

Thanks for the input. Not terrible, but not great either. I wonder if you buy a truck with stock tow mirrors if the MPG on the window sticker is any different than the sticker on a similarly equipped truck without the tow mirrors?

How come you put the OEM mirrors back on?

I guess I'm one of the few that thought they're over rated. It seemed I had a blind spot on the right side, I didn't have with my aero mirrors. And since I don't use the 150 as a tow pig, it was an easy decision. I like the idea of the right mirror being flat, opposed to convex, but even the convex mirror on the bottom left a bit to be desired. I almost put a round stickon mirror on, then just decided I liked the aero mirrors better and switched them out.
LOL, just to lend some credence to my thought, I drove heavyhaul previous to 4/15 when I retired, so it ain't like I don't know how to use mirrors!

I go back and forth. With the convex mirror on the right side being as small as it is, it is harder to back up my trailer. I have gotten used to them but I think unless you have a trailer that is wide, the benefit isn't there.

To be honest, I was going more for looks. The only thing I tow is my little 13' classic Boston Whaler Sport so my current mirrors are MORE than adequate. It's great to get feedback from those that have/had them.

No problem at all.
As a side note; I sold mine to a guy that had an 11th gen. I told him I wasn't sure they'd work. He sent me a photo a day or two later, and they bolted right up.

I got mine off ebay from am-autosports $137 + free shipping. It took a while to get used to them and making sure you don't knock them off going through a drive through.

I have after market tow mirrors on my 2014 XL w/ 16 pin plug but the blinker and puddle lights don't work even though the truck is wired for it, and couldn't find a missing fuse on either fuse panel. Any one have this problem?

Did you know that you can buy the ford mirrors for 280$ and they are garented to work as long as you already have power mirrors they will swapp back and forth
