Default Led's glowing

I've searched the forum and can't find a solution or explanation so I'm sorry if this has been covered, but I bought my led kit earlier this week and got it in the mail today and was excited to install them. I got the 2 map lights installed and the dome light. I noticed right away that when I turn the dome lights off or lock my truck the lights glow. I went to Autizone and bought a set of "pilots", installed them and they glowed too, i came home and took the led's out of the map lights, put the halogens back in and noticed the dome light wasn't glowing any more. I put the led's back in the maps and again all 3 were glowing. I then took the led out of the dome light and put the halogen bulb back in and the map lights weren't glowing anymore. What's going on??? I installed led's in the interior of my GMC Acadia a year ago with no problems. Please help :-/

That's what I thought to begin with , but as I said, I installed the same led's in my other car last year with no problems. I am going to take my truck to "Custom Truck" today and talk to the owner about it. He has an F-150 and has upgraded just about everything in his truck so hopefully he has a solution.

I have done a search. I put in "led's glowing" and "bad led's" and just "led's" but it pulls up unrelated threads and posts. Maybe I'm searching wrong???

you'll be fine aslong as its not a noticeable glow. I learned they stop glowing after a while and its bc there is still some power in the circuit

This is due to a small voltage bleed in your system depending on the sensitivity of the LED it may be just enough to dim-light the LED.
