I agree... I'm wondering if maybe adding an "ice only" fire&ice led bar might help? I don't care for the "fire" portion :-) I don't know if anyone makes this, but it could be built from an LED strip.

It would be protected & unobtrusive to the casual viewer - but I'm concerned with all that light on top of the bumper if it would wash-out the backup-cam at night.

Any thoughts?

How about wiring the brake lights into the reverse lights?
A jumper wire with the a diode should do it... If I am thinking about this correctly.

"R" would give you reverse lights + brake lights always, is the only downside - but I'm not sure I see that as a downside.... Would never be noticed on a state inspection since people have their foot on the brake anyway.

Your video is exactly what I see in my truck - riding the brake makes it manageable.

Going to be installing the Ranch hand rear bumper next week and will find some real lights to fit in the cutouts of the bumper. My bumper will have the holes for the backup sensors already cut out.

Has anyone noticed this small bulb below the tail lights on the Raptors?

I saw these at the dealership and was instantly a little jealous. I think that part should work well if done right.

Plus, running wire for new electric bits is a spring and summer project for those of s in Minnesota.
I wanted the same so I got these.

I will try and get a video tonight if it isn't raining. They work, no crazy talk, but with rain and dirt on the lens it is really hard to see with the light scattering.

I still want more and if someone finds a bulb that works that is easily replaceable I will probably pick it up as well.

The Plug-N-Go accessory that uses the 7-pin outlet is pretty neat.

I contemplated and researched all the options. After what appeared to be trial and error for the most part on choosing bulbs, aux lights, light strips, etc. I just dropped the coin and picked up two Rigid Dually LEDs. If they keep me from backing into something at night, they've paid for themselves. $174 on Amazon for two. I'll install them this week sometime and post pics.
