Question Leaf Spring Pack Diffrences!!??

Hey guy's! Was wondering if anyone can post what option packages their truck came with if you have a 3 Leaf rear spring pack. and with the 5.0 Motor!?....I'm trying to find out why my truck has 3 leafs and a overload spring. so 4 Leaf pack....Unlike Most I see with 2 leafs and an overload. my truck in on a DJM 5 inch flip....and I can't fit any kind of traction bars from any company because my truck has this thicker leaf pack...and the bars hit that damn overload spring. I'll switch to the 3 leaf pack if I find out why...mines a 2WD drive with the FX2 Package 5.0. think mine came with package 302A ....Would appreciate any info....thnx!

Any kind of towing package, usually the 4 packs are with the camper package.

I had the 2 leafs and the overload spring on mine with just a regular tow package. I added a set of the slam air bags and then also removed the overload spring. The VAS traction bars you have fit easily with this configuration, if you got the ones for the flip kit. Also removing the overload spring, even though on the bottom of the spring pack, will allow the rear to ride a little lower since it will allow your springs to sag just a little. Perhaps you can pick up another set from a junk yard that doesn't have the extra leaf. (Perhaps a junkyard isn't a viable option in Hawaii?) Or you can take the spring pack apart and remove the overload leaf in your driveway. That's what I did.

Or, since you have a 3 leaf spring pack you could easily run without the overload spring and maybe just install some air shocks if you're worried about towing/hauling. That's how I ran my 05 Silverado a few years back when I had it.

I'm also running the Roush stage II blower like you.

The traction bars you had for sale should work since they're made for a flip kit...if you remove the overload spring

BTW, you're the one who pointed me in the direction of the VAS bars....thanks.
