Default Cleaning tips please...

Any suggestions on cleaning arm rest? I have the fabric arm rest. Don't want to do anything to mess up fabric. It is dirty from dirt/sweat over the years.

While we are at it, got a lot of tire shine down the side of the truck. Automatic tunnel car wash has decided to step up their tire shine game and they put so much on, it slings off the tires and leaves a nice mess on the truck.

Try Tuff Stuff on the armrest. I've had good luck it over the years. As for the tire shine, soap and water will wash it off. Whenever you use the auto tire shine at a car wash get out and wipe down the tires and rims before driving off. Those machines throw that crap everywhere and just make the rims, tires, and splatter all over the sides of the truck attract dirt and look crappy even quicker than normal.

Soap and water for the armrest. If that doesnt work try a spray carpet cleaner.

Hand wash the truck with a good soap and it should get rid of the tire shine.

Simple Green....i have several vehicles and have used it for years on fabric and vinyl, plus carpet. It has never caused any damage. For deep cleaning, I use it in my Bissell cleaner.

I took mine out of my truck, sprayed it down with SuperClean, gently lathered it up with my hand in a rubber glove, rinsed it thoroughly then used a shop vac to get rid of as much water as I could to speed up drying.

That can't be good for the wax and the paint... I use that stuff to clean grease off of parts. Its pretty agressive.

I use a cleaning product called Spot Shot. If you can find it the stuff works great.

You're right, it's pretty aggressive but it cleans so good! I had my jump seat out of my truck though and sitting on the deck when it was cleaned. I used SuperClean on most of my interiors plastic parts though without any issues. Some parts had a white, faded haze after but they came right back to life with some 303 Aerospace Protectant. I wouldn't use it on exterior paint and if I did it would get a coat of wax pretty quick.
