I知 not sure if anyone is still having trouble getting a Ford OEM lead frame for the 6r80 but Amazon has OEM Ford lead frames in stock currently for $200. Just ordered one on Sunday and it arrived today.

 

I would try to figure out what to look for and check it VERY closely as counterfeit parts on amazon aren't exactly uncommon regardless of seller

 

Im hoping it痴 legitimate. The box of came in had all the Ford labels on it and said BJ Mauer Ford Boswell PA. In side there is a little plastic bag with the Ford logo and a little foam strip that goes on the contact points. I really wouldn稚 know what else to look for. If you have any pointers I値l take any help I can get. Thanks

 

He's not wrong. The oem one I've had saved for a long time now says available for $204. I checked my Ford parts locator and while it is still on backorder there are A LOT of dealers showing having them now. I looked on the backorder page and there's only 4200 currently on backorder. The last time I saw a number listed it was over 30,000. Then Ford stopped posting how many were backordered. So they are making huge progress getting these things produced.

 

Yep. That痴 what I paid. I just checked the listing again because yesterday it was down to 9 available. This morning it says 2-3 week wait.

 

it supposedly coming from a Ford dealer would make me feel a little better about it. I really don't know anything in depth on these things to know what to look for unfortunately.

I work for a small auto repair shop. I was talking to the local Ford dealer last Friday (9/8) that we get parts from, and they had 11 on hand all spoken for. I told him to put me on the waiting list for the next batch and it came in yesterday (9/13) so hopefully they are finally getting these out there in mass!

 

That is exactly what came in the box that I got yesterday from the dealer

 

Good to know. Guess I値l get it done if ever I have a day off of work. Lol
