Default Latest EB flash...

Took my EB to the dealer for a check engine light due to rain and they did the reflash. I only put about 30 miles on it but initial impressions are that the tune seems to bring the power in a bit harder. The power delivery before seemed more linear and now seems more peaky. It feels as if top end HP has increased a bit. It feels like more midrange boost than previous.

The reflash does the tranny as well. It now seems to upshift sooner and not hold first gear as long. Tramp the gas pedal and it will downshift 2 gears.

I'll have to see how different it feels with the trailer hooked up. I'm also interested in seeing if the gas mileage is better or worse.

So what was the number of the TSB the reflash was under?

I'll check and see if I can find it.

Same thing here. I had it in to the dealer for the TSB on PCV valve/possible gas smell in oil. I had no issues but as part of a warranty check over, they ordered the hoses and new valve, and did the re-flash. I noticed harder shift to second gear and downshift two gears when you step on it when passing or highway. It just doesn't seem to drive like it did. Had it back to put on the valve and hoses and tech said he would re-flash again and if I wasn't happy, he could take it back to where it was before the update. Do you think I should do that? Would it have any negative affects to do that?

I had mine reflashed as part of the TSB for the CAC issue. (It seems to have solved the problem for me.) The truck does seem a bit more responsive to me since the reflash. However, I think the opposite has happened with my trans shift points. They seem to have moved up rather than down.

My work order didn't have any reflash product number.

Can they revert the flash back to where our trucks were or would the only way be by buying a tuner? Dealer told me he could take the truck back to where it was if I wasn't happy with the shifting after the latest update.

mine was done in april/may.
they changed the cac and the new reflash
my biggest issue is HOT weather off idle
its seems to have picked up a weird prolonged turbo lag
if i am sitting in traffic, temps outside above 99 and press the go pedal, the rpms come up a bit and then sort of flat on power , then BAM it feels like you got pushed
need to go have it looked at now that vacation is over

I have a new flash this week as we're troubleshooting an issue and they want me to be tune free.

What a dog! Smoother shifting and faster up shifting, but no acceleration compared to my 87 PerfTow.
