Default Knuckle Rust

Hey guys, I was washing my truck and noticed some rust on my front knuckle. After looking a little closer I noticed it is completely rusted all over. Is this normal. It looks bad. It's a new truck. 2014 XLT

Normal. They were probably already rusty from the factory.

If you really want to freak, look up under your dash.

Yep! Ford is bad about this, I had an 03 F350 with 100,000 miles, it looked like brand new inside & out but if you looked UNDER the truck it looked like I kept it parked in a pond it was so rusty! There's a lot of bare or very lightly painted metal under there.

This is why I'm going to spend a lot of time under my truck this summer with cans of Rustoleum undercoating.
