Lol I've got a 2010 loaded Lariat 4x4 SCREW (no sunroof tho) 116k miles ALL HIGHWAY for the most part...pearl Oxford white new Toyo AT's 1k miles ago...5.5' bed ...used it for my traveling sales vehicle and EVERY BIT of maint etc has been done by the same dealer I bought it from new..in 2011 (2010 carry over)...

My point is I have to sell trade it in within a few months to meet my employers car allowance guideline of no vehicle over 5years old....and I have thought about selling outright for the same $ your talking for that 2009 so I'd say you might be able to squeeze a few more $'s outta the dealer... I'm in MO or I'd hit u up to take a look at mine...dealer looked at mine last week and the salesman would have swore it was a 2012/2013 as clean as I've kept it (**** about keeping it clean and maintained)...he was literally shocked when I told him it was a 2010!...lol

I'd think you could get the price down.

I have the exact same truck in black, but at 5.5 bed with only 62k miles on it with a rough trade in value of 28k.

As for things to look for

Sunroof - make sure it opens/closes with ease
rear window - same thing
rear headliner/3rd brake light - check for any leakages that may be due to the 3rd brake light

Thanks guys. I am still working with the dealer on the details and the financing stuff. I think if I can get that truck for $21,500 out the door with a full tank of gas and warranty I will be happy. I am planning on having the dealer send me addition pictures, particularly of the underneath and cab corners as well as a walk around video with the truck running to see if I can hear anything wrong with it. I appreciate all of the feedback from everyone!

Even if I can't get them down to $21,500, it is already priced pretty good according to KBB and NADA.

Default Update

I went to my credit union and they are working to see what they can do for me. I should know either this afternoon or on Monday. I also obtained an AutoCheck history report which is clean - No incidents, 1 owner. AutoCheck says the truck should fall in a score of 85-90 for similar trucks - this one is a 91. It is covered by a 1 year buyback protection from AutoCheck as well so that makes me feel a little better lol. The only thing that caught me off guard was that this truck came from Canada. I don't consider it a bad thing, it just surprised me lol. I will be having the dealer send me pictures of underneath and typical rust areas for sure now.

Hopefully I will be taking delivery of a 2009 King Ranch this coming week if all goes well!

In 2011 I brought my 09 lariat 4x4 screw. Fully loaded with everything but a moon roof. It had 99,987 miles on it and brought it for 19,000 I would try to by that truck for around 20,000 if possible. Maybe even a little less. But mine now has 150,000 and is still running strong only had to change the timing chain guides about a month ago.

Having just bought a truck at a similar price point and condition I thought I may share my thoughts from my experience.

In June of this year I bought a 2010 Lariat SCrew 4x4 loaded but no sun-roof. It had 116K when I bought it. Got it for 18.5 from a guy on craigslist. It was in immaculate condition inside and out. Its been a solid rig for the most part but having said that Im not sure I made a wise decision for the long run.

It constantly throws the p4055 trouble code saying major evap leak(check fuel filler). Which is only a minor issue but is annoying having to look at a service engine icon on the dash until I get the code cleared.

2 months ago it died twice in 3 days at a stop. It did this with the tank of gas immediatly following the tank of gas that I added 44k to. This is whats mostly troubling for me. It hasn't done it again since then so I kind of chalked up to bad gas. I did replace the air filter the day after this happened as well. Not sure if the 44k or air filter had anything to do with the issue though.

It sure is pretty to look at and I love driving it but I'm not sure I made the right decision for a daily driver. I'm not trying to scare you off or anything just thought I would let you know of my experience!

whatever you do, don't finance without going to see the truck in person and driving it. regardless of what carfax/autocheck might show, there are hundreds of things that would not be mentioned on those reports. i was in your position a few years ago and can't tell you how many times i had sales people tell me the truck was spotless, emaculate, beautiful etc.. only to find, after driving 50/60 miles, dents & dings or other things wrong with the vehicle that would not be considered normal wear and tear.

Thanks again for all of the added input. The truck sold this past Saturday....6 days after it was listed. Looks like its time for me to go back to searching.
