I wouldnt even know where to begin with the King Ranch Prices, but for a comparison. I had looked at a Dealer Demo 2009 Platinium - Original sticker was $49k, It had close to 12K miles on it, and they were selling it for 37K.

I decided to keep looking since it wasnt exactly what I was looking for. ( color/options/bed length)

Good luck with your decision!

40k miles on the odometer? Factory warranty is gone (powertrain warranty still in effect up to 60k/5 yrs).

Jump over to edmunds.com to estimate the pricing with so many miles.

I would be tempted but I'd be a) asking questions and b) driving a hard bargain due to the number of miles clocked on in one year! I'd also be looking to get that truck wrapped up nice and tight in extended warranties because I'm guessing the previous owner didn't do only 5,000 in the first 6 months, if you know what I mean?!

My point is: it is likely the previous owner anticipated doing that kind of mileage (for whatever reason) and therefore may have driven it like they stole it from day one, knowing they would only be keeping it a year.

Just my thoughts, but it does seem like an ok deal as long as you take your time and make sure everything is in place to protect yourself. Best of luck negotiating.

OR, on the optimistic side... the previous owner simply found they couldn't afford / didn't wish to run that kind of vehicle once they realized they'd be doing crazy miles annually. In which case your truck may have been very well looked after (if a bit thoroughly run-in) in the last year and you could be getting a very good deal... just my 2c.

$27K is what I would pay if it is exactly what I was looking for. I am basing this off my buddy that traded in a 2008 that he originally paid $42K for when it was new, now it has 49K miles and the dealer gave him $23K trade.

I think $27k is in the ballpark if the truck is in excellent condition and he has service records and a clean carfax. I have the truck that you describe with every option except moonroof and nav and I paid 36k before TTL. I would love to drive that truck and compare to mine with 7k miles on it to see how it feels after that many miles. I've seen adds in the local paper where they're discounting the 2010 F 150's (loaded models) by 10k which is what I got off my MSRP. Good luck, you'll love the truck and its features.

yeah i was thinking about 28... for all of you guys driving trucks under 40k.. dont worry one bit.. ive driven several brand new 09 and 10 models.. and after 40k miles there is absolutely no difference in the truck what so ever period.. and believe me i would know what to feel for cause my dodge drives like a real piece with only 54k.. makes me feel like at 100k you mightneed a small tune up and alignement but i doubt it... maybe if youre running larger tire.. which i will be wether i have to regear or not..

im going with the nitto trail grappler mt btw in a 35x12.50
