I was wondering the same thing about replacing the plugs. I did the mod this weekend as well, and everything went great except for getting those plugs back in. I have the bloody knuckles to prove it. I worn gloves most of the time, but I could feel anything trying to get the plugs back in. I got both of them back it, but I'm not convinced they are sitting in there perfectly.

However, I do love the new door detents. It is so nice not to have to worry about the door flying open into the car next to me at work.

North light!! I was going to order these for my new truck asap but your website says backordered. :-(

When do you expect to get more in? My 2014 needs them bad.

I, like many others after reading through these pages, had bought these months ago and didn't put them in until yesterday. It was very quick and easy, about a half hour worth of work. They work great. I did have a problem with the driver side, as it would make a ticking noise when closing. I loosened off the bolt and two nuts, and then re-tightened. All was good afterwards! No ticking noise. Thanks guys for the great product!

I received mine a few days ago, and had set aside this afternoon to get them installed. I have a 2014 STX Scab, and hated having to hang on to the door when opening it. The driver's side took about 15 minutes, most of that was spent putting the plug back in. On the passenger side, I just dropped the glove box by pushing in the two clips, peeled back the plug, and ran the new part through the opening. It actually took less time than the driver's side. I amazed myself - I was prepared to spend the afternoon on it.

Oh, and definitely use the string. It saved me a couple of times. Thanks Northlight Labs!

Someone needs to make a trophy for 'Best modification to a vehicle', and hand it directly to Northlight.
There aren't many products out there that satisfy every user.

Just ordered my set today! This will surely help to protect the paint job I had to have done a month after I bought my truck in May! But I digress, surely excited to start modding my big blue!

Ordered mine a few days ago after receiving yet another door ding from a front passengers swinging the door open against a parked cars protruding mirror. Damn it to hell!

My friend from work did the damage and is paying for PDR that is getting done while I write this. The Door Detent 3.0 should help in preventing this happening again along with me yelling at everyone who gets in and out of my truck for now on.... We shall see.

I ordered mine, oh...a few MONTHS ago *facepalm* and for some reason only just now got around to having them installed. (I work on an Army post and can get them installed for far cheaper than a dealership would install them.)

I should NOT have waited this long. They work exactly as one would hope they would. they open at the same places as before - about a foot open and wide open - AS WELL AS stopping about halfway open, which they should have all along.

In short, this is an excellent mod; if you're pissed @ your doors dinging the hell out of (insert inanimate object or person here), buy these and get them installed or install them ASAP. You won't be sorry.
