I bought my 2010 F150 and have yet to do any mods because of the fact I'm going to Iraq in a little more than a week, ha.
I have a list of stuff I'm wanting to get but wanted to know what you thought.
Regarding the rims I'm not sure if I want black or chrome rims. And also not sure if I should lower the truck or put the leveling kit on it (which I think I'd prefer). Also can I get your thoughts on the running boards, ha. Hope I can add some amusement in your reading through this lol.

at the hood and waiting your deployment? brings back a lot of fond thoughts of when i was there. getting ready to whip up on some Libyans or where ever Reagan sent us. but i lived in Harker Heights. till i was dismissed from duty!

oh but to your question i say black wheels with chrome accents will look awesome!

 

Best of luck brother I just got back from my second deployment this last year. It has calmed down quite a bit over the years. Keep your head down! Oh and why did you buy a truck right before you deploy?? Just curious

 

Oh and I like a leveling kit for sure and depending on your paint and whether it is two tone or if it has the chrome package I cant give you a positive answer on rims. More info please

I bought the truck and then got the news of deployment. I was contemplating on giving the truck back but I got a great deal. Sticker was 36 and I got it for 27. I got the incentive stuff, talked them to 32, then once it was set in stone I threw in the 'oh yeah I have a trade in' line. Told them I wanted 5k for the cobra...after a day of them 'thinking' I got what I wanted.
What unit are you attached to? This will be my first deployment, looking forward to it.

 

Hey Brother, I wish you the best of luck on your upcoming tour. I just got back in July myself. Everything you listed sounds pretty good to me. I would drop the chrome pillar bits and change the wheel size to 20 inch. Additionally, tossing on a leveling kit would look great. I'm just not into ridiculously large rims. Again good luck and we'll keep you in our prayers .

 

Im was assigned to the 1st CAB out of Fort Riley, but I was injusred my last deployment and was medevaced out early. now I am assigned to the Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB) most likely getting med boarded....sucks I want to go back but the family wants me out

Oh, did you need any resistors for the license plate LEDs? What were the other 4 LEDs for as indicated in your sig? I'm trying to get everything ready to mod my truck when I get back to the world. Thanks!

i thought about getting some black chrome rims myself, they look pretty sweet.

I was on the rock that I was going to get the leveling kit with 24 inch rims either chrome or black. I'm still on the rock for the leveling kit and now liking the black rims idea. My problem is now that I've seen a few 4x2 trucks on here with the mud tires and all on it and I sorta like it. Now I'm stuck on that. Atleast I have a year to decide haha!

I was looking at the LED lights for the license plate. I had them for my Cobra and liked the look alot. The 4 additional LED's are for the interior lights. I assumed it was 4 but actually think I miss counted.

I think I might set my truck apart from the rest by putting on the 2010 Mark LT grille haha! Have you seen that thing?!
