I dont have that upgraded feature but I have read on several other threads that it's just cd's and it can't be an MP3 cd either.

That will take forever to fill the 10gb if thats true. Was hoping I could make mp3 cd's when mine shows up to load all my music into it, but sounds like I will be forced to make a ton of CD's now....

Here is a quote off another thread (2010 Sony Nav?). I'm sure there's a way but it might take some tech skills lol.

Keep in mind that the jukebox will only 'recognize' master (store bought) CDs that are in the current Gracenote DB (which is sorely out of date and is updated when the Navteq maps are updated). An update has 'been in the works' for over 18 months...

Sync will also display album cover if it is stored with the MP3 metadata (see MP3Tag).

You are correct, the only way to load songs on to the jukebox is via CD.

So only cd's that are deemed ok in updates?

I think this option is now going to be deemed useless..

I agree. That's why I bought an eternal hard drive. That and it's only 10 stinking gig. I want all my music with me so I can listen to what I want, when I want. And I literally have about 30 times as much as will fit on that drive.

ok, it is what it is i guess. i will add that mine did record all tracks from a cd i had burned of mp3's from my home computer. 15 tracks and it took 35 minutes. i had to be five minutes late to work waiting for it to finish. that is why i was wondering if there was a faster way like from a thumb drive or mp3 player? guess not. oh well guess i have to take a long road trip and load the juke while im on the road

Wondering something.. not just juke but the system in general, if say you have a movie saved to a HD or anything, will it play that or does it have to be a DVD that you put in?

Just wondering if I do this usb2 mod or something else can I play videos I have saved any possible way? Wish my truck was here to try any of this but still 1-2 weeks out.

I believe it's suppose to play the movies too, if I remember what people were saying correctly. I just got back from buying a 2tb hard drive (because the 750 wasn't big enough I suppose) for the truck and I'm downloading the fat32 formatted now. I guess I'll have room to find out at some point.

The mod is well worth it. Very minimal cost and it doesn't take long to do it. I say do it either way and you can plug your phone or mp3 player into it without having a long wire laying on your console.
