I shared with them my videos on youtube, so they could hear the noises. They need to be in the truck and hear it themselves.

I will pick up the truck today. The Ford check valves have arrived in the mail, so I will replace it the next time I hear the noise.

I'm very disappointed in Ford and their inability to resolve this issue.

I love my truck, but every time I hear the noise it chips away a bit of my truck-love...
Hi MNMike,

I've documented your feedback about this experience in the case for your CSM to review. Please continue to work with your dealership, and let me know if I can add any additional information.

Default also - getting charged for them looking at it -

Just talked to the Ford dealer.

I was going to pick up the truck tonight, but they want to charge me $139 for an hour of labor. I will try and talk to the regional customer sales manager tomorrow to see if Ford will pick up the tab on that I guess.

The lesson learned is that even if you are in warranty, and the dealer cannot find any problem with your truck (like an intermittent problem), they will charge YOU an hourly rate to trouble shoot it.

This is turning out to be a very negative customer experience for me...

The dealer didn't end up charging me for the troubleshooting, after I complained a bit.

After getting the truck home, I took Jon Wagner's advice and changed the check valve. Since then I have not heard the noise. I have taken 2 trips to Chicago and driven it quite a bit since them. Seems like that might have fixed it. Surprising that Ford couldn't figure that out...

Default My 2015 sounds the same

I purchased my truck in august with 27k miles. Now at 31k and its made the noise about 8 times. IWE solenoid is the cause. I went over a month before it did it when my husband was in the truck. Every time i let off the gas it would quit. So it was hard to pinpoint what i was hearing and from where. Finally it did it when it was the passenger, waiting to record it! The dealer kept it for two days before he heard it.

I had the same issue on my 2010. It was the $10 check valve located on the firewall just below the solenoid, I believe it's blue and white or clear. If you pull it out and can suck air through both ends it's bad. Replaced it and haven't had the sound in three years.

I have not heard the sound again since I replaced the check valve either.
I actually bought two of the Ford OEM check valves - one is in the glove box for when I hear the sound again.

The new Ford OEM vacuum lines are still on a shelf in my garage, in case the check valve doesn't fix it next time...

Thanks for the replies and help with diagnosing this issue.

I am having the same issue when I turn sharp to the left however my check valve is good. I bought a vacuum pump and went to work had vacuum holding when straight ahead turned wheels an poof no vacuum! Checked lines at hubs and found the line on the drivers side split. It would only lose vacuum when wheels are turning to the left. Ordered new lines( complete set) going to install today. Will post pics of problem area today. Give you all one more thing you can check if it happens to you!

Default Iwe issue

Think I'm having the same issue. Ford has replaced the solenoid on both sides. This time they said they'll have to "write Ford" before they can do anything and repair the issue. It is a constant noise and only goes away when you left off gas or engage 4x4. Video should be attached with noise.
