i use an ipod touch, 4.1os, i just hook it up to the usb slot and its good to go, no problems

 

my iphone 4 won't sync to USB. It did the first few times, now it says the it's not a 'usb device'. People have that issue with the phone? suggestions? I just play music through bluetooth audio now.

 

pull the sync fuse. (fuse 13 on an 09) and leave it out for a minute. If your USB port was not being detected before, this should fix the problem. Then download the latest version of the SYNC software. This has helped me fix some of the problems at least for now... Can't wait for the new 4.2. Hopefully it will clear things up.
