Default iPhone4 mount question

I'm looking for an iPhone4 mount that

1) doesn't block a dash vent
2) doesn't block the navi screen
3) isn't suctioned the the windshield
4) can be viewed by the driver.

I saw something once in a truck of some kind of mount that basically went into the useless shelf right above the navi but offset the iPhone to the left. I haven't been able to figure out the iPhone set up and so I throwing out a lifeline.

Thanks in advance.

Arkon makes a vehicle specific mount for our trucks, judging by the picture it bolts up to the right of the dash where the Nav screen is in that "slit" between the stereo/climate control components and airbag/glove box.

Part number is SM5-FO7309G3

Follow the link - http://www.arkon.com/vehicle_specific_car_mount.html - select smartphones and 7" Tablets at the top right and then click the Ford Oval and select Ford F150 (2009-2011).

Is that kind of what you are looking for?

This is what the base looks like installed without the phone mount attached, this is straight from the downloadable instruction manual, looks like a pretty easy straight forward installation and you can buy different mounts for differnent things, like GPS, iPad, Edge Tuners, and all kinds of things...

Think I'm going to get one of these for mine, thanks for starting this thread gave me an excuse to research something very cool and useful that I probably wouldn't have ever known about!

I use a proclip mount that goes on the right side of the center console --

I used to have a suction mount but the suction cup wore out so I modified.

I use this mount, and then attach RAM mount stuff to it. I love it because it is all easily removable and adjusted and no drilling. Doesn't block my view of anything. I also mount my GPS there on occassion.

That's cool, can you get some close up pictures from a couple of angles? Would this work on the left of the steering wheel with an Edge CTS?
