I'm going to be upgrading my audo in my 2011 fx4 and I dont have the nav unit, just basic stock unit.

I'm going to stick with the stock head unit and just upgrade the speakers and add a sub and amp.

How can I control the songs on my iphone/ipod of the actualy device and not through the sync unit?

You can see in the attachment, that it won't let me here, and using the sync unit would take forever.

btw, i love the bluetooth streaming of pandora from iphone!

 

that's a good question. i think you have to stream through bluetooth in that event and you lose all the fancy sync voice command features.

 

right when I stream through bluetooth it is fine, but as soon as I connect it through USB it goes to that screen.. I'd like to plug it in via usb so I get the charge... otherwise I'll have to charge through 12V maybe to avoid this eh?

 

i was thinking maybe it is worht me upgrading to a pioneer navi system, but I really think the stock unit combined with my iphone for nav is just fine..... Any opinions?
