Default Interior mood lights?

Has anyone put mood lights in their f150? I know you can get then from the factory, but I don't want to spend $430.00 bucks on something I can do myself? Anyone done anything?

http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...htingpair.aspx or just do you're own LED strips with a reostat. and it's called ambient lighting, for researching purposes.

If you have a Chinamart near you they have the blue ones that are very close to the Ford setup, they do not however have the ones for the cup holders.

Anyone know which wire I would have to tap into to have the LEDs hooked to the interior dimmer function? I want to put a couple strips under the dash but dont want to pay for the oem kit.
