Default Interior lighting question

Hey all-

I have a quick question about my interior lights. So in the morning I will turn on my running lights when I am driving to work, because its light enough out to notrequire headlights. My radio lights, steering wheel lights, climate control and so on will be lit up for a little while, and then shut off. Is this a normal thing because its light out? Or is there something going on here? The gauge lights stay on and actually get brighter when the other blue lights all turn off. Thanks for any input

Yes, its part of interior courtesy lighting. Its in your manual. The dash lights go bright when it gets light out, and dim when it gets dark. It can be adjusted.

I thought I had read threw my manual, I must have missed that. Thank you for the reply. I will check that out and see how to adjust it.

I wasn't aware myself until I took a long trip driving through the night and noticed it changing back and forth, thought I was hallucinating. Its on page 90 in my manual.
