Default Same issue

I have a 2013 f150 stx 5.0 basic work package. No cruise no power anything 2 wheel drive. My boss owns a wrecker company and is letting me strip parts from a 2014 f150 xlt 3.7 4x4. I swapped the instrument cluster, the steering wheel with cruise and media control buttons, sync enabled radio with the screen, and the complete wiring harness so it would all plug in. So far the only major issue I've had is the blower motor actuator plug is wired different and started melting so I have to swap that too and that should hopefully fix that. I know I have to have the computer flashed to enable the cruise, but my media buttons aren't working, my traction control is disabled (I'm assuming because my truck isnt 4x4) and I have an airbag light on. Will flashing the computer solve those issues? I'm really not wanting to rerun that wiring harness again, I'd rather eat glass lol bit seriously though

Default Update

Ok so apparently the gps module and traction control both have identical plugs. Swapping those 2 around fixed my traction control issue but still have an airbag light on and no function from my media buttons on the steering wheel. Having replaced the entire harness with the one from the newer truck I was sure it make the buttons work but no

You will still likely need to reprogram keys as the donor cluster will have a different VIN#

I think saving the appropriate data for the IPC in Forscan (or just everything), swapping the module, then reapplying the original data should work without reprogramming keys. That has worked for other modules.

Yes it should but nevertheless it should be at minimum an expected course of action. Just in case the op that's never heard of Forscan much less used it tries to crank the truck and it does nothing he won't panic and remember what was said.
