Installed and love them! Dead level measuring 9" wheel top to fender flare front and rear. I don't know what people are taking about it being a stiffer ride it feels the same to me. Now to figure out if I will go supersprings aal or air bags in the rear for when loaded.

To be fair, my 100% stock suspension with the OEM Pirelli Scorpion tires held up to the exact same sand trail just fine. They're no more then a dirt road with some small bumps.
If this is considered "offroading" I need a new definition.

Wasn't trying to diminish what happened to you, every one I've heard of has been offroad which you were offroad. The severity of offroad is on the person as there are different perceptions.

My offroad and your offroad are probably two different things.

Having been in retail before in the bike industry I've seen bikes destroyed and the story always starts with I was just going slow down this trail when.......

I seen your post but my 5100's were already purchased and installed. Funny enough I bought mine based on feedback I got on Rancho's and the reviews for the tried and tested 5100's. I'll be sure to post any issues if I have any so far rock solid on the highest setting happy so far.

OP: Make sure you get an alignment.

I had nothing against them at first and was happy with them for the most part.... on the pavement...

They were a little bit harsher ride on the top setting then the stock, but that's to be expected when preloading a spring.
After putting the Rancho's on and being able to first hand compare the both, the rancho's are dampened way better and take expansion joints and bumps MUCH smoother on pavement. I kind of wish I had the matching rear **9000XL shocks or whatever they are because my rear 5100's now feel mushy compared to the fronts.

Just trying to give some real world feedback, not start a peeing match between the two brands.

Hope you have better luck then I did

I have them installed at the lowest setting with a 2.5 strut spacer lift installed. I get a better ride since the spring isn't compressed. My tech had to re use my stock spring perch and had to basically hammer them off the stock strut.

I had the alignment done and the only thing out of spec was the toe. The camber and caster was still in the range for normal.

I thought I read (on these forums) that the 5100 should be boot up and that came straight from Bilstein themselves.

I just ordered my 5100's, ended up getting fronts and backs. For anyone looking to get some, I ended up ordering mine through summit racing but price matched autoplicity to get the best price. Cost for the front 94.23 each, cost for rear 74.33 each. Lowest prices I could find out there. Should have them any day, going to have them installed locally (about 230 for the front including alignment, 70 bucks for the rear to be installed). Planning to have the front done on the top setting based on my factory stance.
