Default i goofed please help

putting hbs level kit on got strut back on and now knuckle is nowhere near UCA. is it possible to have messed up the cv joint, slipped it out or something? can it be slid back together? any advice appreciated truck torn apart in garage

Did you switch the strut around they only fit one side

Also the knuckles go on before the strut.

no only did one side. followed instructions had some trouble getting strut back into LCA. Is it possible I have damaged/extended cv joint?

You now need to put a jack under the LCA to compress the strut in order to engage the UCA ball joint into the knuckle...

ya put the jack under LCA but doesnt come close. Thats why I thought I may have goofed. It seems to be be obstructed by the axle shaft

I have a short 2' ratchet strap that I attatch from the UCA to the LCA and ratchet them together to compress the strut. When I tried jacking the UCA to compress the strut, it jacked the whole truck up.

maybe my terminology not correct. the joint on the half shaft that goes into the solid part of the axle seems to be over extended . going to mess with it but any help appreciated

im fairly certain that joint has pulled apart . can i take the boot off to reassemble it ? just get a new band for boot?
